Meet the leadership team
Chair: Becca Bambridge
I have worked for the NHS in varying roles for 16 years across acute trusts and faculties in Bristol. Starting out as a healthcare assistant many moons ago on a vascular ward, working through what is now the Level 5 Apprenticeship to become an Assistant Practitioner where I spent most of this time in Burns and Plastics which I loved. I then wanted to develop my career further and took several leadership roles Leading on the Support Workforce Project as part of two Faculties in Bristol. During this time, I cemented my love for patient safety in a short-term Falls Prevention and Management role and have since been successful in a non-registered Band 5 role in patient safety for NMSK.
I loved patient care and developing my skills in this field, but my passion is helping others and driving change, especially for AHP support workers. As the now elected Chair of the Associates Network. I am excited to develop my leadership skills, and I hope to be a part of the culture and attitude change towards AHP support workers in a positive way throughout this. I can’t wait to start building the Associate Network to help us feel more connected and advocate for those in non- registered roles.
In my spare time you will find me running (very slowly) which I love and being creative through scrapbooking and papercraft workshops. I am ever an optimist, even in the face of negativity and look forward to welcoming more Associates into the Network and connecting with others.
Vice-Chair: Mark Hennessey
I currently work as a Physiotherapy Associate Practitioner within the Neuro/Elderly team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. I have worked in physiotherapy for over 4 years, following 13 years of experience as a Sport and Exercise Instructor for a mental health trust, also based in the Northeast of England.
My current role is primarily based on the Cardiology ward at Wansbeck General Hospital in Southeast Northumberland, though I also support orthopaedic and trauma wards when the opportunity arises. I am a strong advocate for the Moving Medicine initiative and was instrumental in introducing an 'Active Ward' ethos during my time at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle. I am now working to implement a similar culture in my current setting.
Outside of work—and family life—my passion lies in sport. I have over 15 years of experience coaching rugby league, including some work with the Scotland and Italy national teams and Newcastle Thunder RLFC. In addition to my coaching credentials, I hold qualifications in personal training and exercise referral.
I joined the Associates' Network in 2023 and have taken on several roles within the organisation, culminating in my current position as Vice Chair for the 2025–2027 term.
Secretary: Claire McIntire
I’m the newly appointed Secretary for the Associate Network, my background is in Sports Massage Therapy.
I’ve been in my current role for 6.5 years as a Physiotherapy Assistant which has given me lots of opportunities and experience.
I joined the CSP in 2023 but didn’t know about the associates and reps till there was a visit from them to recruit Union Stewards/Reps and decided to join to be a voice for the Support Workforce. I became a Steward in July 2024 and joined the network around the same time, I want to learn and grow and help other associates, paving the way for future generations.
I recently started rock climbing which I enjoy and take part in various other activities that I can do with my family, even if it gets quite competitive, we still have lots of fun.
EDBI Officer: Anjali Midha
'As EDBI Officer and CSP Equality Rep, I am passionate about championing equality, diversity, belonging, and inclusion within the physiotherapy profession. My goal is to ensure equity across the board for all associates, creating a truly inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. I have a particular interest in neurological physiotherapy and am currently in the final year of my apprenticeship journey.
Outside of my professional work, I am a keen linguist and an avid traveler, always eager to connect with people and cultures from around the world.'
Training and Development Officer: Jennifer McGregor
I have been working with NHS Tayside just over 8 years and in a community setting for 7 years, where I am based in Angus covering the North East. I am an AHP Support Worker Band 4, within my role I work with a physio and OT team, and I hold a community caseload for patients in the community mostly over 65s. Another part of my role is to help out with cardiac rehab and run better balance classes. Also, within my working role I am a CSP steward I have been in this role 4 years now.
Outside of work I play cricket for my local women's team, and I coach the junior section.
The role in which I have taken on within the network is training and development officer, this is a role that interests me as I am keen to help advocate for Support Workers in progressing in their role and getting the most from their job. I’d like to look at the whole of Britian and explore how we can drive change so that all support workers have equitable access to training and development.
Events Officer :Vicki Jennings
I have been a Physiotherapy Technician for 19 years working in MSK outpatients at Aneurin Bevan University Health board. I am a CSP Health and Safety rep as well as a Welsh board associate member representative. I joined the associate network as I wanted to improve and develop the role of the Support Worker and showing the value of the Support Workforce on Physiotherapy. I look forward to the challenges ahead and hope together we can make a difference to all Physiotherapy Support Workers.
