5 reasons to study this programme at the University of Hertfordshire
Staff are national and international experts in their field. The teaching team come from a wide variety of physiotherapy specialities and are engaged in research or continue to work clinically. Staff also support students with extra-curricular activities such as providing post-race massage at the London Marathon.
Students are well supported and at the centre of the programme ethos. In addition to teaching, students have one to one meetings with a dedicated personal tutor or with an allocated visiting tutor when out on placement. Students may wish to be elected representatives for the group, attending meetings ensuring that the student voice is represented, and that student feedback is listened to and acted upon.

Placements start in the first year of study to ensure students have an early opportunity to get hands on practise and understand the patient’s perspective supported by physiotherapists who receive ongoing training from the team at UH.
Research is carried out by students so that they have an opportunity to carry out real small-scale studies, analysing the data so enabling them to be more critical of research findings. This is carried out in small groups to facilitate team work.
