5 reasons to study this programme at the University of Bradford
- Our physiotherapy programmes are taught on the small, friendly main university campus. You will have access to purpose-built facilities such as a movement laboratory, simulation suites, a tech-house and our student-led physiotherapy clinic.
- You will learn through a curriculum that combines clinical knowledge, practical skills and research whilst helping you develop professional behaviours. Learning develops through the three years with foundational skills being taught in year 1, progressing to more complex skills and application in year 3.
- You will be taught by staff who come from a variety of clinical backgrounds such as the NHS, private practice, sports and public health. This reflects the broad range of specialities, client groups and settings that physiotherapists work within. Experts by Experience frequently support teaching to enable you to understand a patient’s perspective and to help you develop into empathetic practitioners.
- 1000 hours of clinical placement are embedded into the programme. You will have a placement in year 1 under the supervision of programme staff, in the safe learning environment of our student-led clinic. External placements in the local area begin in year 2, providing you with a broad range of placements to enable you to develop into well-rounded practitioners.
- Our graduates are well-respected, and a consistently high percentage find employment or go onto further study within six months. Our alumni include physiotherapists working within high-profile sporting roles, Consultant Physiotherapists, PHD holders and even some our programme teaching team.
