Benefits of chartered membership
Chartered status and the designation MCSP
Being a Chartered Physiotherapist means you are more than just a physiotherapist; you are part of a voice of the profession. It’s a badge of excellence which many employers require or prefer, and patients appreciate.
Protection at work
Do the job you love, safe in the knowledge you’re covered by professional liability insurance and have access to expert legal advice should you need help. (These services are only available to UK-practising members)
Professional development
Whether you’re newly qualified or established in your career, keep a handle of your CPD records with the CSP's ePortfolio and learning hub and develop your interests using our member-only CPD resources.
Advice and support
Our confidential professional advice service is run by a team of experienced physiotherapists, so whatever your question or concern, we’re here to help.
Self-employed physiotherapists
We know the independent sector is diverse, which means our members are likely to want different things from us.
Rest assured, we’re listening to what you need and we are continually developing our services to better protect and support you.
Internationally trained physiotherapists
If you're a physiotherapist who qualified overseas then the CSP provides a number of services and resources which will support you in your journey into and through working in the UK.
Recently graduated
