Learning on placement is a key part of physiotherapy education. Through supporting the learning of students when they are in the workplace, practice educators play a vital role in training the physiotherapy profession of the future.
There is room for the full scope of the physio profession to be practice educators. There is an expectation on all physiotherapy staff to develop their skills across all four pillars of practice, which includes leadership, research, education, as well as clinical work. Principle 6 of the AHP principles of practice-based learning emphasises that all practice educators should feel valued, respected, and recognised in their roles.
So how do we best support practice educators?
This webinar will introduce new CSP guidance on best practice for training and supporting practice educators to deliver placements that meet learners' needs, while safeguarding educator wellbeing. Hear from a team who successfully implemented a 'fair share' model, and join the discussion during a dedicated Q&A session.
