This year’s Safety Rep of the Year award winner is Hayley Stevenson, who was nominated for her unwavering dedication to workplace safety and her relentless pursuit of improvements to foster a safer and more inclusive work environment.

Through her diligent member engagement via workplace surveys, Hayley has demonstrated a strong commitment to understanding and addressing safety concerns. 

Her collaborative approach with management, coupled with her relentless pursuit of improvements, has led to a safer workplace for physio staff. 

Hayley has shown a steadfast commitment to advancing equality and diversity initiatives for all employees, running an impactful equality and diversity campaign.

Additionally, she has proven her ability to represent members effectively during challenging periods, particularly concerning absence, where she has been supportive and knowledgeable. 

Her efforts have not only improved safety but also created a more supportive and inclusive environment for all staff members.

Hayley, a band 4 associate member, exemplifies that trade union representative roles are open to all members of the CSP. Her success is also a reminder of the opportunities these roles offer for skill development and career advancement.

Her achievements underline the importance of dedication, collaboration, and advocacy in workplace safety and inclusivity.
