Identify the people in your networks who could be key decision makers, or who could help you reach key decision makers. Think about how you can build your relationship with them. Develop your skills in building business cases – your learning and development department may have training for this, or speak with someone who has successfully developed a case.

Develop an ‘elevator pitch’ – clearly articulate what your work delivers for patients and the system in 30 seconds or less!
