In 2021 he was shortlisted in the Advancing Healthcare Awards Wales in the category for outstanding achievement by an AHP or healthcare science apprentice, support worker, assistant or associate.

Chris said: ‘This was in recognition of the work I have done with the reference group, being an ambassador for physiotherapy support workers and contributing to highlighting and developing the role.

‘I have been featured in the associate member animation video. I was involved in organising and creating an official CSP Facebook group for physiotherapy support workers in which people are able to share and post relevant news and topics, which I try to do regularly.

I'm also very active on Twitter interacting with physiotherapy networks and promoting the role.

‘These are some of the main areas that contributed to my nomination.’

CSP professional adviser Claire Fordham said: ‘Although Chris did not win it was such an achievement for him to be nominated and just recognition for all his passion and commitment.’
