In this free lecture at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Birmingham on 11th December 2018, Uzo Ehiogu will be using his own personal experiences of military rehabilitation as a Physiotherapy Officer in the British Army.
Uzo Ehiogu will provide an overview of the history of military rehabilitation from its humble beginnings during the First World War to the present day. The development of amputee rehabilitation, triage and the conservation of manpower for the war effort, the development of extended physiotherapy practitioner roles and medical advances will be discussed in light of military history and a needs must approach.
This free lecture will take place on Tuesday 11th December 2018 from 6pm-7.30pm (with refreshments from 5.30pm). It will be held in the Harrison Lecture Theatre, The Knowledge Hub, at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Bristol Road South, Birmingham B31 2AP.
