On Wednesday, 14 November a varied collection of prominent healthcare speakers will be visiting the North East to share information on the importance of physio data and how the digital world impacts on all physiotherapy staff.
Among these speakers will be Victoria Lyle.
"Qualified in 1999, I have been an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner since 2007. I left Salford to work electively in Bolton for one of the first CATS services in UK. When community and acute trusts merged I was asked to help out in fracture clinic due to doctor shortages. 7 years later I was offered a job back at Salford Royal; given the task of setting up a Virtual Fracture Clinic. Four years later I still lead on and develop the service but also work in face to face fracture clinics and the Emergency Department. I also get time for wider service development projects such as being the link person in T+O for ED, T+O VTE lead, involved in T+O research and setting up a MDT polytrauma clinic.
The Virtual Fracture Clinic is now 4 years old: I will present a overview of what VFC is, the challenges of implementation, data from the first 3 years, future plans as well as the key to success!"
