This issue of Frontline features reports from the CSP’s Annual Representative Conference, which gives members opportunities to express their opinions and concerns.
It’s not the only way of doing this, of course. The dialogue between members and elected representatives at the CSP in all four countries should be an ongoing one.
There’s also the exchange of ideas that takes place between CSP members at meetings in your workplace, through tweets, posts on Facebook, attending events organised by country boards or your local regional network (in England).
You’ve only to look at our networks and networking section to see what a sociable group our members are, thirsty for knowledge about your profession. And yes, it’s a relatively small profession – the CSP has 56,000 members – a modest number compared to nursing or medicine. But it’s an active one, and it’s important the voice of physiotherapy is heard in the healthcare debate.
For many of you, receiving Frontline every two weeks is your main interface with the CSP. It’s a shop window to so many things going on across the organisation as a whole.
In this issue you’ll find just a few tasters of what the CSP is doing for you: the case studies project is one example.
Whether you’re interested in our article on delivering healthcare in prisons, rural areas, or gaining understanding of working with children, we hope you’ll find something to inspire you.
Tell us your views – by email, letter, tweets, or comments in the online version. We are listening!
