Editor's comment: opening up

After all the hard work that goes into getting Frontline to press every fortnight, I often wonder what you do with your copy when it arrives.

Hopefully, you immediately rip off the plastic wrapper, brew yourself a cup of coffee, and sit down for half an hour to catch up on the latest news about your profession. Maybe you’ll earmark an article or two to come back to later on in the week.

Here on the editorial team we’re always striving to bring you an engaging, informative and – wherever possible – entertaining membership magazine. One that brings you news about your professional body, your union, and what other CSP members are up to.

In this issue you’ll find out about the ‘City slickers’ from Manchester, providing physio to the women’s football team (page 32), an inspirational story from the physio to the Chelsea Pensioners (page 68) and a column I know many of you turn to first – Karen Middleton’s In Person (page 37).

We’ve also brought a new approach to Physio Findings with a one-off special looking at research that’s been generated by academics in Northern Ireland (page 18). We hope to do a similar round up in other countries in the year.

We’re always happy to hear from you about what you want to see in your magazine. It could be something you’ve been doing professionally that you think others might be interested to hear about. Or maybe you want to comment on an article we’ve run.

So do get in touch – we’re listening!
