The CSP continues to monitor the progress around the issuing of fit notes within the profession.
Recent changes to legislation mean that they can now legally certify fit notes (Med 3 forms) to patients. We have worked the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to develop guidance and FAQs.
We are monitoring issues our members may face and linking with the DWP to resolve. The online training is hosted by elearning for healthcare (elfh). It is available to all, however, we have heard some members are struggling to access this without an NHS email address. We have flagged this to the DWP and are awaiting a response. You have also told us that a standardised CSP template would be useful to those working in private practice. Again we await DWP guidance but hope this will be available soon.
