The CSP South East Coast Regional Network is offering 2 funded training sessions on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for up to 24 members of the South East Coast region delivered by an organisation called Transforming Mindsets.
The training will be delivered by Mary Makinde, Founder of Transforming Mindsets, a Senior Lecturer and the BAME Strategic Lead at a UK university. Mary delivers training to enhance our understanding of unconscious bias, race, identity and difference, growth mindset, develop relationships and make transformational changes.
Mary is highly committed to people and works with organisations within the private and public sector to promote a culture that celebrates diversity and builds a sense of belong. Through her work, Mary has helped organisations to make long-lasting transformational changes in leadership, culture and attitudes towards diversity and inclusion. Through her work with organisations in the health care and social care sectors, she has helped them to develop strategies that improve the student placement experience, patient and client experience and relationships within the workplace.
As strong believer in the power of growth mindset to help facilitate changes in attitudes, provide resilience and success in the workplace, Mary’s approach means that the workshops provided by Transforming Mindsets are experiential, reflective and thought provoking. Participants that have taken the workshops have stated that they felt empowered to make real changes in their learning and working environment and through the workshops they had developed a good understanding of challenges faced by marginalised groups and effective tools to implement change in the workplace.
If you would like to take up a place on the training, please email Mindy Dalloway, The CSP’s Campaigns and Regional Engagement Officer dallowaym@csp.org.uk
