Our hydrotherapy pools are facing difficulties in reopening after the pandemic.
We did
CSP/ATACP guidance for carrying out treatment in hydro pools has been sanctioned, with two modifications, by Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection Scotland and Scottish Government allowing pools to reopen.
You said
Some newly qualified student members were offered employment under the streamlining project only to have it withdrawn due to administrative errors.
We did
We supported the students and lobbied HEIW, getting new offers of work for these members, and success at appeal for the students who wanted to be released from the scheme.

We’ve produced resources showing how the support workforce can contribute to placement education within the scope of their roles including a presentation to share these messages in your workplaces.

The Public Health Wales staff survey on Covid-19 transmission in health care settings didn’t include independent hospital staff.

We lobbied PHW to include these staff in their survey, which they have done.

Members in the West Midlands and South West asked for a region–wide FCP peer-to-peer support network.
We did
CSP localism team officers organised ‘springboard events’ in both regions to bring members working as FCPs together to hear latest info and resources to support their practice and plan how they wish to run the groups.
