The UK Chief Medical Officers guidance on physical activity recommends doing strengthening activities at least twice a week. But research shows too few people, especially those living with a health condition, meet what has become known as ‘the forgotten guideline’.
The CSP, with support from Sport England and the Centre for Ageing Better, led an insight project into perceptions, barriers and motivators for people living with health conditions in regards to strengthening.
